![]() The hardware for the Play:1 and Sonos One are different, although Sonos haven't clarified the exact differences, hence the inability to pair these two different devices. With regard to the pairing, I agree it is frustrating but Sonos have always stated that you can only pair two identical devices. ![]() This is fact with AI, it learns over time with user interaction and isn't something that Sonos or Amazon can develop in a lab! My Echo device was the same when I first purchased it, Sonos are following the same path. Things my Echo, and Echo Dot recognize and execute flawlessly, my Sonos One struggled with. Once configured, actively streaming Plex Clients show up as Media Players and report playback status and library sizes via Sensors in Home Assistant. Further, the Sonos One's "Alexa fluency" seems to need a lot of work. Plex Media Server - Home Assistant Plex Media Server The Plex integration allows you to connect Home Assistant to a Plex Media Server. To get the stereo pairing, you must purchase two Alexa enabled devices and put them in close proximity, which is utterly useless. The Plex Alexa app is absolutely horrible for music playback, though. The sound quality is certainly not worthy of the price point and I find it absurd that I cannot pair my Sonos One with a Play 1. No other free streaming service delivers more content to more countries, all without a subscription. Stream music, news, and more, all wrapped in a beautiful interface. It's not ready for prime time in my opinion. Plex is your home for free TV and movies, giving you access to 80+ live channels and thousands of on-demand titles from around the world. So the full command will be ‘Alexa, tell Plex to play Suits series 1 episode 1’. The team at Plex have just released their Alexa Skill, allowing you to ask for your favourite music, movies, TV shows and more with a few short voice commands.
